Section 11 <br /> Prohibited Within Three Hundred Feet of Schools : No <br /> location amusement device license shall be issued for, nor <br /> shall any amusement device be used or operated in, any building <br /> or place within three hundred feet of the grounds or building <br /> of any primary or secondary public or parochial school; <br /> provided, that licensed devices for the production of music <br /> only shall be exempt from this section. <br /> CHAPTER 4 - POOL, BILLIARDS, AND BOWLING <br /> Section 1 : License--Required. No person, firm, corporation <br /> or other association of persons shall own, keep, operate or <br /> manage in any public resort or in any other place, except <br /> in private homes , within the City of Everett, any pool <br /> table, billiard table, pigeon-hole table or bowling alley, <br /> or any stand or fixture upon which or wherein any game <br /> of any kind is played or carried on in any manner in <br /> any public resort or any public place, except in <br /> private homes , without first obtaining a license to do <br /> so as provided in this chapter. <br /> Section 2 : License--Fee . The license fee to be charged <br /> by said City for keeping billiard tables , pool tables , <br /> pigeon-hole tables is hereby fixed at the sum of $15. 00 <br /> per year for each table, and for keeping bowling alleys , <br /> is hereby fixed at the sum of $10 . 00 per year for each <br /> bowling alley, provided, however, that when a person, <br /> firm or corporation or any other association of persons <br /> shall keep in the same room one or more such table or bowling <br /> alleys , that the annual license fee shall be $15 . 00 for <br /> one such table and $10 . 00 for each additional table, <br /> and $10 . 00 for one such alley and $5 . 00 for each <br /> additional alley. <br /> Section 3 : Licenses--Limited number to be issued. After <br /> the passage of this chapter the number of licenses issued <br /> for the maintenance and operation of public billiard and <br /> pool rooms in the City of Everett shall not exceed Ten <br /> (10) . <br /> Section 4 : Certain Minors Prohibited From Public <br /> Billiard Rooms <br /> (1) Duty of Owner - It shall be unlawful for any <br /> person owning, managing or having control of any <br /> public billiard room to allow or permit any person <br /> of the age of fourteen years or under, whether as <br /> employee, visitor or patron, to enter or to loiter <br /> in or about to play billiards in such place, unless <br /> accompanied by the parents or guardian of such <br /> person, or unless such person is under appropriate <br /> adult supervision at all times while upon such <br /> places , or unless such person has written consent <br /> from a parent or guardian in such form as the City <br /> Clerk may prescribe from time to time. <br /> (2) Unlawful Acts by Minors - It shall be unlawful <br /> for any person of the age of fourteen years or under <br /> to enter or to loiter in or about or to play billiards <br /> in any public billiard room, unless such person at <br /> such time, while upon such place in such place, is <br /> accompanied by his or her parents or guardian or <br /> under appropriate adult supervision at all times <br /> while upon such place, or unless such person has <br /> written consent from a parent or guardian in <br /> such form as the City Clerk may prescribe from <br /> time to time. <br />
