CHAPTER 14 - PAINT SPRAYING <br /> Section 1 <br /> Paint Sprayer' s License Required: It shall be unlawful <br /> for any person, firm or corporation to engage in the <br /> business of spraying paint or preservative substances <br /> outside the confines of any building without first <br /> having secured and having in full force and effect a <br /> "Paint Sprayer;s License, : which shall be issued <br /> by the City Clerk in accordance with the terms of <br /> this chapter. <br /> Section 2 <br /> Application for License Fee--Surety Bond: Any person, <br /> firm, or corporation desiring to secure a "Paint Sprayer' s <br /> License" shall file an application with the Clerk of the <br /> City of Everett, pay a filing fee of $5 . 00 , and furnish <br /> a surety bond in the sum of $1 ,000. 00 conditioned that <br /> the licensee will save harmless the City of Everett of <br /> any and all claims that may arise by reason of the <br /> licensee' s negligence and will indemnify any person <br /> who shall be inured or damaged in their person or <br /> property by reason of the licensee' s negligence. Upon <br /> the filing of application, bond and payment of fee <br /> the Clerk shall issue a license to the applicant, <br /> which shall expire on December 31st of each year. <br /> CHAPTER 15 - SOUND TRUCKS <br /> Section 1 <br /> Definitions: (a) PERSON. The word "person" as used <br /> herein shall include the singular and plural and shall <br /> also mean and include any person, firm, corporation, <br /> association, club, opartnership, society or any other <br /> form of association or organization. <br /> (b) SOUND TRUCK. the words" sound truck" as used <br /> herein shall mean any motor vehicle, or horsedrawn vehicle <br /> having mounted thereon, or attached thereto, any sound <br /> amplifying equipment. <br /> (c) SOUND AMPLIFYING EQUIPMENT. The words "sound <br /> amplifying equipment" as used herein shall mean any <br /> machine or device for the amplification of the human <br /> voice, music, or any other sound. "Sound amplifying <br /> equipment" as used herein shall not be construed as <br /> including standard automobile radios when used and heard <br /> only by occupants of the vehicle in which installed, <br /> or warning devices on authorized emergency vehicles , <br /> or horns or other warning devices on other vehicles <br /> used only for traffic safety purposes . <br /> (d) COMMERCIAL SOUND ADVERTISING PURPOSES . The <br /> term "commercial sound advertising purposes" shall <br /> include but not be limited to political speeches , <br /> political announcements , political advertising of every <br /> kind on behalf of any individual, or party representing <br /> any number of candidates , but shall not apply to issues <br /> to be voted upon at a forthcoming election.
