The provisions of subsection (A) shall apply with <br /> equal force in case the patient shall die before being <br /> so transported in such ambulance and/or emergency first <br /> aid vehicle or dies while being transported therein, or <br /> at any time prior to the admission of the patient to a <br /> hospital. <br /> Section 13 : Emergency Aid System <br /> There shall be an emergency aid system for emergency <br /> medical response to provide the least time response for <br /> patient emergency aid and transportation, which shall <br /> consist of the following: <br /> A. The 911 telephone access system. <br /> B. Immediate notification of all requests for medical <br /> aid received by the fire department to the ambulance <br /> company and by the ambulance company to the fire depart- <br /> ment. <br /> C. Immediate response by both the fire department and <br /> the ambulance company to all requests for emergency <br /> medical aid within the City. <br /> D. Immediate notification by the first arriving unit <br /> whether or not the additional units responding are re- <br /> quired. <br /> Section 14 : Emergency Medical Response <br /> The Fire Department of the City of Everett should res- <br /> pond to all requests for medical aid within the City, <br /> and provide such service to persons within the City as <br /> required. <br /> A. To accomplish the intent of this section the Mayor <br /> shall annually prepare a budget for emergency medical <br /> aid response. <br /> B. The Mayor shall develop a plan that may include <br /> recommendation of the Emergency Services Advisory Com- <br /> mittee, to provide for an emergency medical aid res- <br /> ponse program by: <br /> 1 . Planning and budgeting for two Emergency Aid <br /> Cars (EAC) to be strategically located within the City <br /> and to be equipped required by this ordinance. <br /> 2 . Planning and budgeting so that each in-service <br /> pumper within the City is equipped as an emergency aid <br /> vehicle, in addition to necessary fire suppression equip- <br /> ment, as required by this ordinance and as recommended <br /> by the Emergency Services Advisory Committee. <br /> 3 . Developing a response pattern within the City <br /> which maximizes the use of the two Emergency Aid Cars <br /> and minimizes initial response time in a coordinated <br /> manner using the EAC vehicles and the fire pumpers . <br /> 4 . The EAC vehicles and the fire pumpers shall be <br /> utilized to provide emergency medical care at the scene <br /> of injury or illness , and may provide transportation of <br /> the sick and injured as outlined in Section 14 , B-5 . <br />
