<br /> house to transfer, re-lease or sell such interest in any
<br /> hotel, rooming, lodging, tenement, club or apartment house
<br /> to another person, firm, or corporation, without first
<br /> notifying in writing the City Clerk of the City of Everett
<br /> of such change.
<br /> Section 8
<br /> Doors--to be kept unlocked: It shall be unlawful for the
<br /> doors of any hotel, lodging house, rooming house, tenement
<br /> house or apartment house opening upon the street as well as
<br /> the doors to the lobby, public hall or passage way, to
<br /> be locked, bolted or fastened in such a way as to prevent
<br /> immediate entrance or exit at all times .
<br /> Section 9
<br /> Hotel register--Required--Content: Every person, firm or
<br /> corporation to whom a hotel license shall have been issued
<br /> under the provisions of this chapter shall at all times
<br /> keep a standard hotel register in which shall be inscribed
<br /> the names of all guests or persons renting, using or occupy-
<br /> ing rooms or quarters therein, which register shall be
<br /> written, the number of the room or rooms which guest or
<br /> persons are to occupy, with the time when each room was
<br /> rented and the same shall be signed by all persons using any
<br /> room, rooms , space or quarters or by someone in his behalf
<br /> and under his direction. After the name of each person so
<br /> registered there shall be done before such person or persons
<br /> are permitted to occupy or use such room or rooms . The
<br /> register shall at all times be opened to the inspection
<br /> of any person and it shall be preserved for a period of
<br /> one year from date of such registration during which time
<br /> such inspection shall be allowed when demanded.
<br /> Section 10
<br /> Immoral conduct--Prohibited: No person, firm or corporation
<br /> nor anyone who shall conduct, operate or manage any hotel ,
<br /> rooming house, lodging house, apartment house, or tenement
<br /> house shall suffer or permit the same to be used as a house
<br /> of prostitution, ill-fame, brothel, bowdy house, or shall
<br /> permit unlawful cohabitation therein, or for disorderly,
<br /> dissolute or immoral purposes , or for the purpose of prosti-
<br /> tution, assignation, fornication, lewdness or dissolute
<br /> conduct, nor suffer or permit any drugs , narcotics or intox-
<br /> icating liquors to be brought into the same , kept, consumed,
<br /> dispensed, or disposed of therein, nor receive, keep, main-
<br /> tain or retain as a roomer, visitor, lodger or guest, any
<br /> pimp, prostitute, bootlegger, gambler, lewd, disorderly or
<br /> dissolute person, or harbor any such person, or allow him
<br /> or her to be or remain upon the premises as a roomer,
<br /> visitor, lodger, guest or employee, or anyone in any capa-
<br /> city who practices or takes part in any act of prostitution,
<br /> or who engaged in or is present at any gambling game or
<br /> game of chance or engages in any immoral, dissolute, dis-
<br /> orderly or unlawful act or conduct, or who unlawfully
<br /> carries upon his person or with him or has in his room,
<br /> baggage, or possession any intoxicating liquor or narcotic
<br /> drug.
