SECTION TITLE 1 Definitions 2 Licenses Required 3 Application for Ambulance Licenses 4 Standards for Ambulance Equipment 5 Liability Insurance 6 Duties of License Officer 7 Advisory Committee 8 Ambulance Attendants License Applications 9 Standards for Ambulance Attendants License and Conditional Ambulance Attendants License 10 Expiration and Renewal of License 11 Revocation of License 12 Reports 13 Emergency Aid System 14 Emergency Medical Response 15 Ambulance Contract 16 Training 17 Penalties 18 Separability 19 Effective Date 20 Repealing THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: Definitions A-1 Ambulance shall mean any privately or publicly owned vehicle that is equipped and used for transporting any sick or injured person from the scene of any accident or disaster or emergency situation to or from a hospital clinic or other location where professional medical care is available. The word "Ambulance" may not be used, in part /in its entirety, by any vehicle except as herein de- fined. The provisions of this act shall not be deemed applicable to operators of a nonemergency-type service, such as a convalescent service for the transportation of sick or invalid persons . A-2 Emergency Aid Car shall mean any publicly owned and operated vehicle that is equipped and may be used for transporting any sick or injured person from the scene of any accident or disaster or emergency situation to a hospital, clinic or other location where professional medical care is available. B. Ambulance Service shall mean any person who operates an ambulance within the City of Everett which meets stand- ards as described in Section 2 herein which repeatedly conveys injured or sick patients .
