ORDINANCE NO. 282-74 <br /> An ordinance to establish standards and <br /> training and to regulate ambulance and <br /> certain emergency first aid services and <br /> transportation and repealing Ordinance <br /> 217-73 . <br /> SECTION TITLE <br /> 1 Definitions <br /> 2 Licenses Required <br /> 3 Application for Ambulance Licenses <br /> 4 Standards for Ambulance Equipment <br /> 5 Liability Insurance <br /> 6 Duties of License Officer <br /> 7 Advisory Committee <br /> 8 Ambulance Attendants License Applications <br /> 9 Standards for Ambulance Attendants License <br /> and Conditional Ambulance Attendants License <br /> 10 Expiration and Renewal of License <br /> 11 Revocation of License <br /> 12 Reports <br /> 13 Emergency Aid System <br /> 14 Emergency Medical Response <br /> 15 Ambulance Contract <br /> 16 Training <br /> 17 Penalties <br /> 18 Separability <br /> 19 Effective Date <br /> 20 Repealing <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: Definitions <br /> A-1 Ambulance shall mean any privately or publicly owned <br /> vehicle that is equipped and used for transporting any <br /> sick or injured person from the scene of any accident or <br /> disaster or emergency situation to or from a hospital <br /> clinic or other location where professional medical care <br /> is available. The word "Ambulance" may not be used, in <br /> part /in its entirety, by any vehicle except as herein de- <br /> fined. The provisions of this act shall not be deemed <br /> applicable to operators of a nonemergency-type service, <br /> such as a convalescent service for the transportation of <br /> sick or invalid persons . <br /> A-2 Emergency Aid Car shall mean any publicly owned and <br /> operated vehicle that is equipped and may be used for <br /> transporting any sick or injured person from the scene <br /> of any accident or disaster or emergency situation to a <br /> hospital, clinic or other location where professional <br /> medical care is available. <br /> B. Ambulance Service shall mean any person who operates <br /> an ambulance within the City of Everett which meets stand- <br /> ards as described in Section 2 herein which repeatedly <br /> conveys injured or sick patients . <br />
