ar <br /> ORDINANCE NO. ./ 3 --7_ <br /> AN ORDINANCE of the City Council of the <br /> City of Everett establishing permits for <br /> the disposal of materials from cesspools, <br /> septic tanks, holding tanks , chemical <br /> toilets, portable toilets and privies in- <br /> . to the City of Everett Sewage System <br /> 1 WHEREAS, the City of Everett has been requested by the <br /> 2 Snohomish County Health District and persons engaged in the <br /> 3 business of disposal of materials from cesspools, septic <br /> 4 tanks, holding tanks, chemical toilets , portable toilets <br /> 5 and privies to provide access to the Everett Sewage Sys- <br /> 6 tem for the disposal of such materials, and <br /> 7 WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Everett finds <br /> 8 that the disposal of such materials must be carefully regu- <br /> 9 lated and performed in such manner as to minimize any pos- <br /> 10 sible damage to the Everett sewage system; <br /> 11 NOW, THEREFORE , THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 12 Section 1: It shall be unlawful for persons engaged <br /> 13 in the business of disposal of materials to discharge <br /> 14 sewage or like materials from cesspools, septic tanks , <br /> 15 holding tanks, chemical toilets, portable toilets and <br /> 16 privies into the City of Everett Sewage System at any <br /> 17 point of disposal without having first obtained from the <br /> 18 City of Everett a written permit to do so. This permit <br /> 19 shall be in addition to all other permits and/or licenses <br /> 20 required by law, and shall be issued only to the holder <br /> 21 of a proper registration and inspection certificate <br /> 22 issued by the Snohomish County Health Department to carry <br /> 23 on or engage in the business of cleaning septic tanks , <br /> 24 cesspools, grease traps and seepage pits . <br /> 25 A separate permit shall be obtained for each vehicle <br /> 26 so used, which permit shall be prominently displayed in <br /> 27 or on the vehicle at all times . No permit may be trans- <br /> 28 ferred from one vehicle to another except in the event of <br /> 29 loss, destruction or replacement of a vehicle. The City <br /> 30 Clerk shall issue replacement permits only with the ap- <br /> 31 proval of the City Engineer. <br /> 32 <br />
