3. TYPE FEE <br /> 2 Direct connection $20.00 for each direct connection to the <br /> 3 public sewer public sewer plus $10.00 for each con- <br /> nection of the sanitary building drain to <br /> 4 the building's sewer (sometimes referred <br /> to as "sidesewer") <br /> 5 <br /> Alterations of repair to an $10.00 <br /> 6 existing side sewer installed <br /> 7 and accepted under a previous <br /> permit, other than normal <br /> 8 cleanout or root cutting for <br /> which no permit is required <br /> 9 <br /> Installation of catch basins $10.00 Each <br /> 10 or similar interceptors <br /> 11 Installation of small yard $ 5.00 Each <br /> 12 drains <br /> 13 Capping of side sewer $ 2.50 Each <br /> 14 In all cases of dispute regarding fees, permits or other matters relating <br /> to this ordinance, the decision of the City Engineer shall be final and <br /> 15 conclusive. <br /> 16 The fee shall be paid before the permit is issued and the amount of the <br /> 17 fee shall be shown on the permit and on the record of the side sewer <br /> connection maintained in the office of the City Engineer. <br /> 18 <br /> Permits issued for side sewer and/or drain work shall expire and be- <br /> 19 come null and void thirty days from date of issue unless a reasonable <br /> extension of time is granted by the City Engineer. Permit shall be <br /> 20 posted at the job on which the work is in progress. <br /> 21 <br /> Persons desiring to connect a private sewer to a public sewer to serve <br /> 22 property which has not been charged with the costs of a lateral sewer <br /> and/or trunk sewer and/or special facilities required for acceptance <br /> 23 and transportation of sewage by local improvement district assessment, <br /> or otherwise, shall pay in addition to the initial connection permit fee <br /> 24 above provided, any connection charge required by ordinance of the <br /> 25 City of Everett." <br /> 26 Section 4: That the Everett City Code Section 2.20.220 (Ordinance No. <br /> 29-69, Section 5) is hereby amended in full to read hereafter as follows: <br /> 27 <br /> "2.20.220 - Connection to available public sewer-Extension-Forced <br /> 28 connection <br /> 29 Within thirty days from the date a public sewer is made available by <br /> 30 any means whatsoever, as defined in Section 2.20.030, to serve the <br /> premises of a particular section, plat, addition or community, the <br /> 31 residences, buildings and structures located thereon in which plumbing <br /> and/or sanitary facilities are installed shall be connected to the public <br /> 32 sewer system by means of a side sewer of a kind and size as required <br /> by this chapter. <br />
