1 or employee thereof to assume to act as an officer of the law without proper <br /> 2 <br /> authority. <br /> 3 <br /> Section 15: Use of Guard Dogs <br /> 4 <br /> If any person, corporation, association, co-partnership or any organization <br /> 5 ` <br /> 6 licensed pursuant to this ordinance uses guard dogs for the purpose of guarding <br /> 7 the premises, such person, corporation, association, co-partnership or other <br /> 8 organization shall give the following notification when the guard dog is present <br /> 9 on the property and used for the purpose of guarding the property: <br /> 10 (a) The licensee shall post a notice on the front and rear of <br /> 11 <br /> the property stating that a guard dog is present on the premises. <br /> 12 <br /> (b) The licensee shall notify both the fire and police dispatchers <br /> 13 <br /> of the address and times the guard dogs are on the premises . <br /> 14 <br /> 15 Section 16: Penalties <br /> 16 Any person violating or failing to comply with any of the provisions of this <br /> 17 ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction <br /> 18 thereof shall be punished by a fine in any sum not exceeding Five Hundred <br /> 19 <br /> Dollars ($500.00) , or by imprisonment in the City Jail for a period not <br /> 20 <br /> exceeding (90) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. <br /> 21 <br /> Section 17: Severability <br /> 22 <br /> 23 If any clause, section, or provision of this ordinance is found to be un- <br /> 24 constitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such finding shall not <br /> 25 invalidate the remaining provisions of this ordinance which shall remain in <br /> 26 full force and effect. <br /> 27 Section 17: <br /> 28 <br /> Ordinance No. 224-73 is hereby repealed. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 AT..-TE-ST: , '' MAYOR <br /> / ; <br /> 31 / <br /> City C1, rk <br /> / 1 <br /> 32 Passed: L- / • -- 7 3 <br /> Valid: `_ .)
