1 <br /> the receipt of such notice, the licensee shall be afforded a hearing <br /> 2 <br /> 3 before the City Council after reasonable notice has been given. Said appeal <br /> 4 shall be in writing and addressed to the City Council, ATTENTION: City <br /> 5 Clerk. Notice of such appeal shall be given by delivering a copy of the <br /> 6 notice to the holder of the license or by mailing a copy thereof to the holder <br /> '7 <br /> at his last address as shown by the City Clerk's license records, which <br /> 8 <br /> notice shall be mailed or delivered at least five (5) days before the date <br /> 9 <br /> fixed for the hearing. The City Council shall, within thirty (30) days <br /> 10 <br /> 11 after the conclusion of such hearings, issue a written decision as to the <br /> 12 revocation or suspension of such license or its retention. Such decision <br /> 13 of the City Council shall be final. <br /> 14 (c) Surrender of License <br /> 15 It shall be unlawful for any person whose license has been revoked or <br /> 16 <br /> suspended, to keep the license issued to him in his possession or under <br /> 17 <br /> his control, and the same shall immediately be surrendered to the City <br /> 18 <br /> Clerk. When revoked the license shall be cancelled, and when suspended <br /> 19 <br /> 20 the City Clerk shall retain the same during the period of suspension. <br /> 21 Section 14: Prohibited Acts <br /> 22 It shall be unlawful for any licensee under this ordinance to knowingly <br /> 23 invite, encourage or aid in inciting or encouraging any person or persons <br /> 24 who have become a party to any strike, to commit unlawful acts against <br /> 25 <br /> the person or property of anyone, or knowingly to incite, stir up, create <br /> 26 <br /> or aid in inciting discontent or dissatisfaction among the employees of any <br /> 27 <br /> 28 person, firm or corporation with the intention of having them strike, or to <br /> 29 send letters or literature to employers offering to eliminate labor unions, <br /> 30 or for any persons to falsely state or represent that he is or has been a <br /> 31 private detective or merchant (security) patrolman or employed by a <br /> 32 detective agency, or merchant patrol agency, or for any licensee hereunder <br />
