ORDINANCE NO. 37- 7 3 <br /> 1 AN ORDINANCE C i fix'ing rates for sewer service charges, <br /> sewer construction charges and sewer connection <br /> 2 charges for the connections of private sewers <br /> to public sewers; providing regulations for sewage <br /> 3 disposal for areas outside the City of Everett; providing <br /> for billings, collections, liens, and enforcement for <br /> 4 sewer services and repealing Ordinance Numbers 32-69, <br /> 5 4340, 4332, 4316, 4250, 4219, 4084, 3956, 3935, 3891 and <br /> Sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Ordinance No. 3731 and all <br /> 6 amendments thereof, and repealing all other ordinances, <br /> or parts of ordinances, of the City of Everett in conflict herewith . <br /> 7 <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 8 <br /> Section 1: Sewer Service Charges <br /> 9 <br /> 10 The charges for the collection and disposal of sanitary sewage waste for the <br /> 11 classes of users connected and to be connected to the sanitary sewer system <br /> 12 or the combined sewer system are hereby fixed as follows: <br /> 13 (a) Single family residence $2.50 per month <br /> 14 <br /> (b) For other than single family residence (multiple family <br /> 15 residence, commercial and industrial users, etc.) the <br /> rate shall be computed in accordance with the following <br /> 16 formula: <br /> 17 Sewer Service Charge per month = <br /> 18 Metered water usage X single-family rate <br /> 900 cubic feet <br /> 19 <br /> Where the use of water is such that a portion of all of the water delivered to <br /> 20 <br /> the customer does not discharge into a city sewer due to commercial or industrial <br /> 21 <br /> use, such as loss by evaporation or any other cause or use in manufactured <br /> 22 <br /> 23 products, such as ice, canned goods, beverages and the like, no sewer <br /> 24 service charge shall be made because of water so used or lost; provided however, <br /> 25 the water user shall provide proof as to the amount of sewage discharge <br /> 26 and/or install a meter or other measuring device approved by the City Engineer <br /> 27 to determine either the amount of sewage discharge or the amount of water so <br /> 28 <br /> used or lost. <br /> 29 <br /> Payment of the sewer service charge shall commence at the time of physical <br /> 30 <br /> connection to the sewer system. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
