f. . <br /> I <br /> 11 <br /> by such rules and regulations shall be cause for cancellation of continued <br /> 2 <br /> transmission and treatment service to the entire district, municipality or <br /> 3 <br /> 4 governmental unit. <br /> 5 Section 6 Billings and collections <br /> 6 All bills for sewage disposal service shall be rendered monthly and shall <br /> 7 I become due and payable at the office of the city treasurer on or before <br /> 8 the twentieth day after date shown on monthly billing and shall become <br /> 9 <br /> delinquent thereafter. <br /> 10 <br /> Any charge for sewage disposal service not paid within forty-five days from date <br /> 11 <br /> 12 due and payable shall bear interest at the rate of eight percent per year and such <br /> 13 charge and interest shall immediately become a lien upon the property <br /> 14 to which such sewer service is rendered, superior to all other liens or <br /> 15 encumbrances except those for general taxes and special assessments. <br /> 16 Such liens may be foreclosed by the city in the manner provided by law for <br /> 17 <br /> the enforcement of the same and for delinquent sewage charges. As an <br /> 18 <br /> additional and concurrent method of enforcing the lien herein provided, <br /> 19 <br /> the city may cut off the water service from the premises to which such <br /> 20 <br /> 21 sewage disposal service was furnished, and such water service shall <br /> 22 remain cut off until such charges, plus penalties and interest thereon, <br /> 23 together with an additional sum of five dollars for turning the water on. <br /> 24 Section 7 Severability <br /> 25 If any section, subsection, clause or sentence of this chapter shall <br /> 26 <br /> be held unconstitutional or invalid, such holding shall not affect the <br /> 27 <br /> validity of the remaining provisions of this chapter. <br /> 28 <br /> Section 8 - Repeal <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Ordinance Numbers 32-69, 4340, 4332, 4316, 4250, 4219, 4084, 3956, 3935, 3891 and <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br /> Page 10 <br />
