• <br /> -3 • • <br /> 1 Section 2 : <br /> 2 Each of the lots, tracts, parcels of land and other property <br /> 3 shown upon the said roll is hereby determined and declared to be <br /> 4 specially benefited by said improvement in at least the amount <br /> 5 charged against the same and the assessment appearing against <br /> 6 the same is in proportion to the several assessments appearing <br /> 7 upon said roll. There is hereby levied and assessed against each <br /> 8 lot, tract, parcel of land and other property appearing upon said <br /> 9 roll the amount finally charged against the same thereon. <br /> 10 Section 3 : <br /> 11 The assessment roll as herein approved and confirmed shall be <br /> 12 filed with the Treasurer of the City of Everett for collection <br /> 13 and said City Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to publish <br /> 14 notice as required by law stating that said roll is in his hands <br /> 15 for collection and payment of any assessment thereon or any portion <br /> 16 of said assessment can be made at any time within thirty days <br /> 17 from the date of the first publication of said notice without <br /> 18 penalty, interest or cost, and thereafter the sum remaining <br /> 19 unpaid may be paid in equal annual installments with interest <br /> 20 thereon hereby fixed at the rate of eight (8%) percent. The first <br /> 21 installment of assessments on said assessment roll shall become <br /> 22 due and payable during the thirty-day period succeeding the date <br /> 23 one year after the date of first publication by the City Treas- <br /> 24 urer of notice that the assessment roll is in his hands for coll- <br /> 25 <br /> ection and annually thereafter each succeeding installment shall <br /> 26 <br /> become due and payable in like manner. If the whole or any portion <br /> 27 of the assessments remains unpaid after the thirty-day period, <br /> 28 <br /> interest upon the whole unpaid sum shall be charged at the rate <br /> 29 <br /> of 8% per annum and each year thereafter one of said install- <br /> 30 <br /> ments, together with interest due on the whole of the unpaid bal- <br /> 31 <br /> ance, shall be collected.
