, <br /> 1 Section 4: <br /> 2 Use or operating of a private water supply system contrary to the <br /> 3 provisions of the ordinances of the City of Everett or the laws of the State <br /> 4 of Washington or the rules and regulations of the State Board of Health <br /> 5 regarding public water supplies where said private system is served by the <br /> 6 City public water supply shall be unlawful. <br /> 7 Section 5: <br /> 8 Rules and Regulations of the State Board of Health Regarding Public <br /> 9 Water Supplies - Cross-Connection Control Regulation in Washington State - <br /> 10 WAC 248-54-250 through WAC 248-54-500 are hereby adopted by reference. <br /> 11 Section 6: <br /> 12 Unlawful cross-connections now existing or hereafter installed, <br /> 13 services requiring backflow prevention devices and unlawful use or operation <br /> 14 of a private water supply system served by the City public water supply system <br /> 15 are hereby declared to be nuisances, and in addition to any other provisions <br /> 16 and lawful measures for the abatement of nuisances, shall be subject to abate- <br /> 17 ment in accordance with the following procedure. In the event that the Super- <br /> 18 intendent shall determine that a nuisance, as herein provided, does exist, <br /> 19 written notice thereof shall be sent to the person in whose name the service <br /> 20 is established under the records of the City Water Department or, alternatively <br /> 21 said written notice shall be posted on the premises served. Said notice shall <br /> 22 provide that the nuisance described therein shall be corrected within thirty <br /> 23 (30) days of the date said notice is mailed or posted. Upon failure to abate <br /> 24 said nuisance within the prescribed time, water service may be discontinued. <br /> 25 In the event that a nuisance as herein provided, shall present an immediate <br /> 26 danger of contamination to the public water supply of the City of Everett in <br /> 27 the opinion of the Superintendent, service from the City of Everett public <br /> 28 water supply system to any premises upon which a nuisance, as herein <br /> 29 <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
