WHEREAS, a SEPA Determination of Non-Significance (DNS) was issued for the proposed amendments to the sign regulations on March 14, 2019; WHEREAS, legal notice of the City Council public hearing was timely published in The Herald; WHEREAS,the City Council held a public hearing on to consider public testimony and complete a review of the suggested amendments; WHEREAS, the proposed sign regulations are consistent with the applicable policies and objectives in the Everett Comprehensive Plan; WHEREAS, the proposed amendments to the City's sign regulations bear a substantial relation to public health, safety or welfare; WHEREAS,the proposed code amendments promote the best long term interests of the Everett community.
