} <br /> 8-20.3(3)F Wire Removal <br /> Remove all wires from salvaged light and signal standards. <br /> 8-20.3(3)G Pole Shaft and Mast Arm Identification <br /> All removed mast arms and pole shafts shall be identified by paper identification tags recording pole number, <br /> intersection location (such as SR XXX,Jct XXX), and mast arm length. <br /> Four inch by six inch (minimum) tags shall be taped to corresponding pole shafts and mast arms. Information on <br /> the mast arm tag shall match the information on the corresponding pole shaft tag. Each tag shall be entirely <br /> covered with clear acetate tape. The tape shall be wrapped one full circle around the shaft or arm with a 1/2 inch <br /> minimum overlap at the ends and sides. <br /> The Contractor shall bundle the complete signal standard assembly together. The assembly consists of pole shaft, <br /> mast arm, and connecting bolts. Connecting bolts shall be attached to the original mast arm base plate. Dismantled <br /> equipment shall be clearly marked and all hardware saved in a heavy duty burlap bag attached to the corresponding <br /> signal standard or mast arm. <br /> The Contractor shall be responsible for loading, delivering, and unloading the salvaged signal equipment, as directed <br /> by the Engineer. The Engineer shall determine the condition of the signal equipment. Only undamaged material <br /> parts will be accepted. <br /> If the Contractor's operation causes damage to removed equipment that is to be returned, it shall be repaired or <br /> replaced by the Contractor to the Engineer's satisfaction at no additional cost to the Contracting Agency. <br /> The Contractor shall remove and dispose of properly all debris and signal equipment not identified for salvage and <br /> delivery. <br /> 8-20.3(3)H Contractor Owned Removals <br /> All removals associated with electrical or ITS systems, which are not designated to remain the property of the <br /> Contracting Agency, shall become the property of the Contractor and shall be removed from the project. <br /> The Contractor shall: <br /> Remove all wires for discontinued circuits from the conduit system. <br /> Remove elbow sections of abandoned conduit entering junction boxes. <br /> Abandoned conduit encountered during excavation shall be removed to the nearest outlets or as directed by the <br /> Engineer. Abandoned conduit that is less than 18 inches below finished grade shall be removed, unless otherwise <br /> directed or indicated in the Plans. <br /> Remove foundations entirely,unless the Plans state otherwise, or as directed by the Engineer. <br /> 8 <br /> Swift II BRT Boeing to Canyon Park Station—Traffic Signal 90%Special Provisions—12/1/2016 <br />
