Backfill voids created by removal of foundations and junction boxes. Backfilling and compaction shall be <br /> performed in accordance with Section 2-09.3(1)E. <br /> 8-20.3(3)I Equipment to Remain <br /> Care shall be taken to protect and preserve all existing equipment that is not being removed under this Contract. <br /> Any existing equipment to remain that is damaged by the Contractor will be repaired or replaced to the Engineer's <br /> satisfaction, at no additional expense to the Contracting Agency. <br /> 8-20.3(4) Foundations <br /> Section 8-20.3(3)is supplemented with the following: <br /> The following Special Provisions for Foundations are additional Snohomish County requirements for work <br /> associated with the following bid items within the cities of Bothell and Everett: <br /> "SR 527 at 208th Street SE (SR 524) Temporary Traffic Signal System, Complete." <br /> "SR 527 at 208`'' Street SE (SR 524) Traffic Signal Modifications, Complete." <br /> "Airport Road at 112`'' Street SW Traffic Signal Modifications, Complete." <br /> "Airport Road at Kasch Park Road Traffic Signal Modifications, Complete." <br /> "Airport Road BAT Lane Illumination System, Complete" <br /> Drilled Shafts For Traffic Signal Pole Foundations <br /> This Special Provision covers the operations required to drill shafts for pole foundations, removal of all soil <br /> and rock materials encountered, disposal of all excavated materials, furnishing and placement of casing (if <br /> required), removal and disposal of any obstructions encountered, furnish and place steel reinforcement <br /> cages and concrete, and the work necessary to complete the drilled shaft construction, in accordance with <br /> these Special Provisions and as specified on the Plans. <br /> Materials <br /> Concrete <br /> Concrete shall meet all requirements for Concrete Class 4000 as specified in Section 6-02,with the following <br /> exceptions: <br /> 1. The slump of the concrete shall be between 5 inches to 7 inches when tested in accordance with <br /> WSDOT Test Method No. 804 at the jobsite. <br /> 2. The Contractor may use a water-reducing admixture in accordance with Section 6-02.3(3), the <br /> manufacturer's written recommendations, and as directed by the Engineer in order to attain a slump <br /> of 5 inches to 7 <br /> inches. <br /> Reinforcing Steel <br /> All reinforcing steel shall meet the requirements of Section 9-07 and in accordance with the Plans. <br /> 9 <br /> Swift II BRT Boeing to Canyon Park Station—Traffic Signal 90%Special Provisions—12/1/2016 <br />
