<br /> The lump sum Contract price for each of the Bid Items listed above, shall be full pay for the construction of
<br /> the complete electrical system, modifying existing systems, or both, as shown in the Plans, and herein
<br /> specified, including excavation, backfilling, concrete foundations, conduit, wiring, restoring facilities
<br /> destroyed or damaged during construction, salvaging existing materials, and for making all required tests.
<br /> These lump sum contract prices shall further include full pay for furnishing all pipe, pipe connections,
<br /> elbows, bends, caps, reducers, conduits, unions, junction boxes, pull boxes, cable boxes, and fittings; for
<br /> placing the pipe in accordance with the above provisions, including all excavation, jacking, boring or drilling
<br /> required, backfilling of any voids around casing, conduits, pits, or trenches, restoration of native vegetation
<br /> disturbed by the operation, chipping of pavement, and bedding of the pipe; and all other Work necessary for
<br /> the installation of the conduit as an integral part of the above system bid items.
<br /> All additional materials and labor, not shown in the Plans or called for herein and which are required to
<br /> complete the electrical system, including all inspections and testing, shall be included in the lump sum
<br /> Contract price. All costs for installing conduit containing both signal and illumination wiring shall be
<br /> included in the Contract prices for the signal system. All costs for installing junction boxes containing both
<br /> illumination and signal wiring shall be included in the Contract prices for the signal system. The lump sum
<br /> Contract price for each traffic signal system shall include full pay for connection to power source shared by
<br /> traffic signal and illumination systems. All costs associated with the removal of a temporary traffic signal
<br /> system, temporary illumination system, temporary traffic and illumination system or a temporary video
<br /> detection system shall be included in the lump sum contract price for the associated bid item.
<br /> The unit contract price per lump sum for "Temporary Signal and Illumination System" shall be full
<br /> compensation for all labor, tools, materials, and equipment required to submit, provide, install, operate,
<br /> reposition, maintain, and remove each system as specified.
<br /> All work shall be coordinated in a manner that does not disrupt the public safety and traffic flow through
<br /> the project. Uniformed police officers will be required to maintain traffic control during any required
<br /> shutdowns for system cutovers. Existing systems shall be in operation at all times until the temporary
<br /> systems have been tested and approved for normal operation. Approved temporary systems, as detailed
<br /> herein, shall be in operation at all times between the shut down of the existing systems and turn-on of the
<br /> permanent systems. The Contractor shall adjust signal head locations as directed by the Engineer to
