9-29.11 Control Equipment <br /> Section 9-29.11 is supplemented with the following: <br /> Illumination circuits, including traffic signal pole-mounted luminaires and internally illuminated signs, shall be <br /> controlled by a combination of photoelectric controls and lighting contactors or mercury relays as noted in the <br /> Contract. <br /> 9-29.12 Electrical Splice Materials <br /> 9-29.12(2) Traffic Signal Splice Material <br /> Section 9-29.12(2)is deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following: <br /> Induction loop splices shall be moisture blocking two-way (in line) heat shrink, meeting Mil Spec I-23053. <br /> 9-29.13 Control Cabinet Assemblies <br /> 9-29.13(6) Emergency Preemption <br /> Section 9-29.13(6)is supplemented with the following: <br /> Preemption detectors shall be mounted perpendicular to the approach grade of the roadway;within three percent. <br /> Two weep holes shall be drilled in the bottom of each detector before it is installed. <br /> Preemption equipment shall be Opticom. <br /> Opticom <br /> The Contractor shall furnish and install the following: <br /> 1. Preemption detectors shall be Global Traffic Technologies (Gf1) 52 Opticom Model 721. <br /> 2. Submittals shall include a copy of a test report certified by <br /> an independent laboratory that the LED traffic signal module submitted meets I.T.E. Standards for light <br /> distribution, chromaticity, and power (consumption, power factor and harmonic distortion).
