Contracting Agency shall evaluate these explanations to determine whether the <br /> lawsuits demonstrate a pattern of failing to meet of terms of construction related <br /> contracts. <br /> 9. Supplemental Project Specific Criteria <br /> QUALIFICATIONS OF THE CONTRACTOR FIRM <br /> A. Criterion: Community Transit will accept bids only from qualified contractors <br /> whose firm has the ability to meet the specifications of this project and have a <br /> high probability of successfully completing the project on time and on budget. <br /> This section provides basic detail by which Bidders' capabilities will be <br /> compared. In evaluating whether or not a Bidder is qualified for this project, <br /> the Bidder will demonstrate its understanding of and approach to this project <br /> in the following subject areas: <br /> • Project Management; <br /> • Safety Record and Construction-related fatalities; <br /> • Use of Skilled Personnel and Professional Engineers; <br /> • Management of Schedule, Submittal Process, Change Orders, Close-Out <br /> and Extended Warranties; <br /> • Managing Road Construction on a busy roadway, including staging, access <br /> management, phasing,ADA accessibility, and traffic control ; <br /> • Coordination of Work with Adjacent Property Owners; <br /> • Coordination of Work with Existing and Adjacent Utilities; <br /> • Coordinating with multiple jurisdictions, including Community Transit; <br /> • Any previous claims against Community Transit; <br /> • Any lawsuits concerning projects worked on where you were named and <br /> disposition of the case. <br /> B. Documentation: The Bidder shall submit a written statement indicating <br /> understanding and approach to each subject area listed above. For the <br /> purposes of meeting this criterion, Community Transit has determined that <br /> acceptable written responses will address each subject area with enough <br /> detail that it can reasonably be evaluated. The Bidder's written <br /> understanding of and approach to each subject area will be evaluated as to <br /> whether or not it meets the requirement in that area. Submit the following <br /> information for each subject area listed above. <br /> • List your Firm's Name and Primary Contact information; <br /> • Statement or Outline indicating the Firms'typical use of Skilled Personnel <br /> and Professional Engineers in the Project Management Plan; <br /> • Statement discussing Firm's Safety Record over the past 10 years. List <br /> any Safety Violations in the past 5 years, and any Company work fatalities <br /> in the past 10 years. <br /> • List Who is Responsible for Compliance with Construction Documents on <br /> this Project; <br /> • Statement of what Construction Management and Schedule Software the <br /> Firm typically Utilizes; <br /> • Statement indicating How the Firm Manages communication with adjacent <br /> property owners; <br /> Swift Green Line—Corridor Stations Special Provisions SP11 <br /> May 2017 <br />
