1-07.16 Protection and Restoration of Property <br /> 1-07.16(1) Private/Public Property <br /> Section 1-07.16(1) is supplemented with the following: <br /> Staging Area <br /> The Contractor is responsible for obtaining a staging area. Except for materials to be <br /> used during a working day, materials shall not be stored at the work sites. Contractor <br /> shall use staging site for employee parking or shall arrange and provide for employee <br /> parking during construction. Employee parking at the work site shall be minimized. No <br /> parking shall be permitted on adjacent private property outside temporary easement <br /> without prior approval from Community Transit and the property owner. <br /> Construction staging site must be reviewed, coordinated and approved by the local <br /> jurisdiction and Community Transit. <br /> 1-07.16(2) Vegetation Protection and Restoration <br /> Section 1-07.16(2) is supplemented with the following: <br /> (August 2, 2010 WSDOT GSP) <br /> Vegetation and soil protection zones for trees shall extend out from the trunk to a <br /> distance of 1 foot radius for each inch of trunk diameter at breast height. <br /> Vegetation and soil protection zones for shrubs shall extend out from the stems at <br /> ground level to twice the radius of the shrub. <br /> Vegetation and soil protection zones for herbaceous vegetation shall extend to <br /> encompass the diameter of the plant as measured from the outer edge of the plant. <br /> 1-07.17 Utilities and Similar Facilities <br /> Section 1-07.17 is supplemented with the following: <br /> Locations and dimensions shown in the Plans for existing facilities are in accordance with <br /> available information obtained through record information and limited potholing. <br /> The Contractor is alerted to the existence of Chapter 19.122 RCW, a law relating to <br /> underground utilities. The Contractor shall call the Utility Location Request Center(One Call <br /> Center)for field location, not less than two or more than ten business days before the scheduled <br /> date for commencement of excavation which may affect underground utility facilities, unless <br /> otherwise agreed upon by the parties involved.
