No other work shall be performed on the site until the Contracting Agency has accepted the
installation of high visibility fencing, as described in the Contract.
Section 1-08.4 is supplemented with the following:
1-08.4(1) Sequence of Construction
The sequence and limitations of construction are dictated by the specific characteristics of
the Work and the Site. The Contractor shall comply with and include in its Construction
Schedule the limitations of Work specified in this Section.
The Contractor must plan and sequence the work in a logical sequence.
The contractor shall not leave any site open for more than three weeks without the approval
of Community Transit unless this intent is clearly shown in the construction schedule and
approved by Community Transit when the specific site construction is occurring. A site open
is defined as a site being worked on by the contractor between initial clearing stage and
placement of platform, driveway and sidewalk concrete. If the site platform has been placed,
but the column footing access closure pours have not occurred, the site will not be
considered open. It is not the intent of this construction to open a site, perform clearing and
grading, and then let it sit open for an extended period of time before surfacing and paving is
performed.
Sequence of Work:
1. The Contractor shall commence work immediately upon Notice to Proceed (NTP) and
pursue the Work in an orderly fashion such that the Physical Completion date is met.
The Work requires careful sequencing to properly coordinate the Work with activities
related to compliance with permits from local and state agencies, and proper sequencing
of construction activities.
2. The contractor shall not leave any Station site open for more than four(4)weeks without
the approval of Community Transit unless this intent is clearly shown in the construction
schedule and approved by Community Transit. A site open is defined as a site being
worked on by the contractor between initial clearing stage and placement of platform,
driveway and sidewalk concrete. If the site platform has been placed, but the column
footing access closure pours have not occurred, the site will not be considered open. It
is not the intent of this construction to open a site, perform clearing and grading, and
then let it sit open for an extended period of time before surfacing and paving is
performed.
3. No work requiring lane closures shall occur on Northbound and Southbound Station
pairs concurrently unless previously reviewed and approved by the Engineer and the
applicable jurisdiction(s).
4. Canyon Park Park & Ride—Temporary closure of parking stalls along the southern row
of the Park & Ride (adjacent to new sidewalk), and of the parallel stalls along the drive
aisle shall be limited in duration to 60 calendar days in order to minimize temporary
parking impacts.
5.
