employed when laying pipe in close proximity to existing utilities; connections to new catch basins; furnishing, fabricating, and installing debris barriers where shown in the plans; and cleanup. Unless listed as a separate pay item, all materials, labor, equipment, and incidentals necessary to install the storm drain pipe shall be included in these pay items. For pipe diameters 18" and under, including any affected catch basins, inlets or manholes, the Engineer reserves the right to deviate up to three (3)feet in any direction from the plan elevation or location without any adjustment in the unit price or any additional compensation to the Contractor. Pipe bedding shall be included in the per linear foot price for storm sewer pipe, underdrain pipe, and drain pipe. Where required by these specifications or by the Engineer, the Contractor shall use "Gravel Borrow" as backfill with payment made under the applicable bid item. Native material is to be used instead of Gravel Borrow unless the native material is deemed unsuitable for use as backfill by the Engineer. Placement and compaction of native material shall be considered incidental to and included in the contract price of the pipe. Where Gravel Borrow is used in place of native material for backfill, the removal and disposal of native material shall be considered incidental to the unit cost for the particular bid item referenced above. Testing storm sewer pipe shall be considered incidental to the storm sewer pipe bid items and no separate payment will be made. 7-05 MANHOLES, INLETS, AND CATCH BASINS 7-05.1 Description Section 7-05.1 is supplemented with the following: This Work shall also include: • Adjusting utility covers, junction boxes, and valve lids to grade as shown on the Plans. • Installation of wetland treatment catch basin structures, per the manufactures requirements at the locations shown in the Plans. • Installation of biofiltration catch basin structures, per the manufactures requirements at the locations shown in the Plans. • Installation of 48" Diam. Type 2 Catch Basins with oil pollution control risers. • Installation of 60" Diam. Type 2 Catch Basins with overflow risers/flow restrictor pipes and appurtenances to provide control structures for various stormwater facilities; all per the manufactures requirements at the locations shown in the Plans. • Design and installation of stormwater detention tanks in accordance with the Plans, these Special Provisions, and the Specifications at the locations shown in the plans. • Installation of stormwater infiltration facilities at the location shown in the Plans. The following quantities of materials are anticipated for each facility and are listed only for the convenience of the Bidder in determining the volume of work and are not guaranteed to be accurate. Bidders shall verify these quantities prior to submitting a bid. The actual quantities required may deviate from those listed.
