8-02.3 Construction Requirements Section 8-02.3 is supplemented with the following: Submittals At the Engineer's request, prior to delivery the Contractor shall provide the following: a. The source of the product and species of trees included in it; b. A sieve analysis verifying the product meets the above size gradation requirement; c. A 5 gallon sample of the product, for the Engineer's approval. 8-02.3(5) Planting Area Preparation Section 8-02.3(5) is supplemented with the following: Before planting, after placing compost blanket, the area shall be cultivated to a depth of eight inches. Invasive Species Removal Before planting, complete invasive species removal in the areas shown in the Plans. Invasive species removal shall be completed per the details and requirements in the Plans. 8-02.4 Measurement Section 8-02.4 is supplemented with the following: Topsoil Type A will be measured per cubic yard. Arborist Wood Chip Mulch will be measured per cubic yard. Invasive Species Removal will be measured per square foot. 8-02.5 Payment Section 8-02.5 is supplemented with the following: "Topsoil Type A", per cubic yard "Arborist Wood Chip Mulch", per cubic yard. The unit contract price per cubic yard for "Arborist Wood Chip Mulch" shall include furnishing, installing, and shaping mulch at the locations and depths shown in the plans. "Invasive Species Removal", per square foot. The unit contract price per square foot for"Invasive Species Removal" shall include all costs to compete the work per the details and requirements in the Plans. Irrigation water used to establish vegetation including, but not limited to, trees, shrubs, grasses, groundcovers and sod lawn areas, will be considered included in the cost of the individual bid items.
