8-20.3 Construction Requirements <br /> General <br /> Section 8-20.3(1) is supplemented with the following: <br /> 8-20.3(1)A Energized Equipment <br /> Work shall be coordinated so that electrical equipment, with the exception of the service <br /> cabinet, is energized within 72 hours of installation. <br /> 8-20.3(3) Removing and Replacing Improvements <br /> Section 8-20.3(3) is supplemented with the following: <br /> 8-20.3(3)A Pole Removal <br /> Poles designated for removal shall not be removed prior to approval of the Engineer. <br /> 8-20.3(3)B Signal Display Installation <br /> Signal displays shall be installed no more than 30 days prior to scheduled signal turn on or <br /> changeover. <br /> 8-20.3(3)C Construction Core Installation <br /> The Contractor shall coordinate installation of construction cores (locks) with agency <br /> maintenance staff through the Engineer. The Contractor shall provide written notice to the <br /> Engineer, a minimum of seven working days in advance of proposed installation. The <br /> Contractor shall advise the Engineer in writing when construction cores are ready to be <br /> removed. <br /> 8-20.3(3)D Electrical Equipment Removals <br /> Removals associated with the electrical or ITS systems shall not be stockpiled within the job site <br /> without the Engineer's approval. <br /> 8-20.3(3)E Contracting Agency Owned Equipment <br /> Portions of the temporary or existing equipment to be removed shall be returned to the <br /> jurisdictional owners on behalf of the Contracting Agency. <br /> The following shall be disconnected, dismantled, and delivered to the locations specified herein <br /> for each bit item, unless otherwise noted on the Plans. All existing equipment that is to be <br /> removed shall not be stockpiled within the job site without the Engineer's approval. The <br /> following signal equipment shall be disconnected, dismantled, stacked separately, and delivered <br /> to the locations specified below: <br /> • Traffic Signal Standards and Mast Arms <br /> • Traffic Signal Controller Cabinets <br /> • Electrical Service Cabinet <br /> • Light Standards and Mast Arms <br /> • Emergency Vehicle Detectors <br /> • Vehicle and Pedestrian Displays and Mounting Hardware <br /> • Pedestrian Pushbuttons <br /> • Luminaires <br /> • Video Cameras and Mounting Hardware <br /> • Terminal Cabinets <br /> Swift Green Line—Corridor Stations Special Provisions SP116 <br /> May 2017 <br />
