Material will not be accepted without the <br /> required advance notice. <br /> 8-20.3(3)F Wire Removal <br /> Remove all wires from salvaged light and signal standards. <br /> 8-20.3(3)G Pole Shaft and Mast Arm Identification <br /> All removed mast arms and pole shafts shall be identified by paper identification tags recording <br /> pole number, intersection location (such as SR XXX, Jct XXX), and mast arm length. <br /> Four inch by six inch (minimum) tags shall be taped to corresponding pole shafts and mast <br /> arms. Information on the mast arm tag shall match the information on the corresponding pole <br /> shaft tag. Each tag shall be entirely covered with clear acetate tape. The tape shall be wrapped <br /> one full circle around the shaft or arm with a 1/2 inch minimum overlap at the ends and sides. <br /> The Contractor shall bundle the complete signal standard assembly together. The assembly <br /> consists of pole shaft, mast arm, and connecting bolts. Connecting bolts shall be attached to <br /> the original mast arm base plate. Dismantled equipment shall be clearly marked and all <br /> hardware saved in a heavy duty burlap bag attached to the corresponding signal standard or <br /> mast arm. <br /> The Contractor shall be responsible for loading, delivering, and unloading the salvaged signal <br /> equipment, as directed by the Engineer. The Engineer shall determine the condition of the <br /> signal equipment. Only undamaged material parts will be accepted. <br /> If the Contractor's operation causes damage to removed equipment that is to be returned, it <br /> shall be repaired or replaced by the Contractor to the Engineer's satisfaction at no additional <br /> cost to the Contracting Agency. <br /> The Contractor shall remove and dispose of properly all debris and signal equipment not <br /> identified for salvage and delivery. <br /> Swift Green Line—Corridor Stations Special Provisions SP118 <br /> May 2017 <br />
