8-20.3(3)H Contractor Owned Removals <br /> All removals associated with electrical or ITS systems, which are not designated to remain the <br /> property of the Contracting Agency, shall become the property of the Contractor and shall be <br /> removed from the project. <br /> The Contractor shall: <br /> Remove all wires for discontinued circuits from the conduit system. <br /> Remove elbow sections of abandoned conduit entering junction boxes. <br /> Abandoned conduit encountered during excavation shall be removed to the nearest outlets or <br /> as directed by the Engineer. Abandoned conduit that is less than 18 inches below finished <br /> grade shall be removed, unless otherwise directed or indicated in the Plans. <br /> Remove foundations entirely, unless the Plans state otherwise, or as directed by the Engineer. <br /> Backfill voids created by removal of foundations and junction boxes. Backfilling and compaction <br /> shall be performed in accordance with Section 2-09.3(1)E. <br /> 8-20.3(3)1 Equipment to Remain <br /> Care shall be taken to protect and preserve all existing equipment that is not being removed <br /> under this Contract. Any existing equipment to remain that is damaged by the Contractor will be <br /> repaired or replaced to the Engineer's satisfaction, at no additional expense to the Contracting <br /> Agency. <br /> 8-20.3(4) Foundations <br /> Section 8-20.3(3) is supplemented with the following: <br /> The following Special Provisions for Foundations are additional Snohomish County <br /> requirements for work associated with the following bid items within the cities of Bothell, <br /> Everett and Unincorporated Snohomish County: <br /> "SR 527 at 208th Street SE (SR 524) Temporary System AND Traffic Signal <br /> Modifications, Complete,"which shall include the following two systems: <br /> "SR 527 at 208th Street SE (SR 524) Temporary Traffic Signal System, <br /> Complete." <br /> "SR 527 at 208th Street SE (SR 524) Traffic Signal Modifications, Complete." <br /> "Airport Road at SR 99 (Evergreen Way) Traffic Signal Modifications, Complete." <br /> "Airport Road at 112th Street SW Traffic Signal Modifications, Complete." <br /> "Airport Road at Kasch Park Road Traffic Signal Modifications, Complete." <br /> "Airport Road BAT Lane Illumination System, Complete" <br /> Drilled Shafts For Traffic Signal Pole Foundations <br /> This Special Provision covers the operations required to drill shafts for pole foundations, <br /> removal of all soil and rock materials encountered, disposal of all excavated materials, <br /> furnishing and placement of casing (if required), removal and disposal of any <br /> obstructions encountered, furnish and place steel reinforcement cages and concrete, <br /> and the work necessary to complete the drilled shaft construction, in accordance with <br /> these Special Provisions and as specified on the Plans. <br /> Swift Green Line—Corridor Stations Special Provisions SP119 <br /> May 2017 <br />
