8-20.3(9)Bonding, Grounding <br /> Section 8-20.3(9) is supplemented with the following: <br /> Where shown in the Plans or where designated by the Engineer, the metal frame and lid of <br /> existing junction boxes shall be grounded to the existing equipment grounding system. The <br /> existing equipment grounding system shall be derived from the service serving the raceway <br /> system of which the existing junction box is a part. <br /> 8-20.3(11) Testing <br /> Section 8-20.3(11) is supplemented with the following: <br /> Traffic Signal Turn-on <br /> Prior to a Traffic Signal Turn-on event, the Contractor shall conduct a Pre Turn-on coordination <br /> meeting. The Pre-Turn On Coordination Meeting is required a minimum of fourteen (14) <br /> calendar days prior to turn on for all Temporary and Permanent Signal Systems. The turn on <br /> schedule and date shall be arranged and confirmed at the meeting. All functional tests and <br /> other tests required by the Contract Specifications shall be completed to the satisfaction of the <br /> Engineer 48 hours prior to the turn on date. The Contractor shall provide the Engineer a <br /> minimum of 5 days written notice of the proposed Pre Turn-on coordination meeting date and <br /> time. <br /> For traffic signals operated by Snohomish County, the Pre-Turn on Coordination Meeting shall <br /> include invitations to the following personnel included as invited attendees: <br /> Project Engineer <br /> Project Chief Inspector <br /> Electrical Inspector <br /> Snohomish County Signal Operations Engineer <br /> Snohomish County Signal Maintenance Technician <br /> Designated City Staff to be specified by the Project Engineer(Bothell, Everett) <br /> For traffic signals operated by WSDOT, the Pre-Turn on Coordination Meeting shall include <br /> invitations to the following personnel included as invited attendees: <br /> Project Engineer <br /> Project Chief Inspector <br /> Electrical Inspector <br /> WSDOT Signal Operations Engineer <br /> WSDOT Signal Maintenance Technician <br /> Designated City Staff to be specified by the Project Engineer(Mill Creek) <br /> Prior to the Pre Turn-on coordination meeting, the Contractor shall complete the items of work <br /> detailed in the "Traffic Signal Turn-on Checklist" and submit the completed checklist to the <br /> Engineer. The Traffic Signal Turn-on Checklist form will be furnished to the Contractor by the <br /> Engineer. <br /> Prior to scheduling a turn-on date, the Contractor shall provide verification to the Engineer that <br /> tests 1, 2, and 3 as specified in this section have been completed. <br /> Swift Green Line—Corridor Stations Special Provisions SP129 <br /> May 2017 <br />
