8-24.2 Materials <br /> This section is supplemented with the following: <br /> Modular block wall shall be pinned interlocking modular blocks. Blocks shall have flat faces <br /> and have approximate nominal dimensions 8"(H)x18"(L). Contractor shall provide calculations <br /> and shop drawings for all modular block walls, designated Type Ill on the Plans. Calculations <br /> and shop drawings shall be prepared under the supervision of a professional engineer <br /> licensed in the State of Washington. The calculations and shop drawings shall adhere to the <br /> general guidelines provided in the Plans and shall be reviewed and approval by the Engineer <br /> prior to beginning work. <br /> Grout or concrete shall have a minimum 28-day compressive strength of 3,000 psi. <br /> 8-24.4 Measurement <br /> This section is supplemented with the following: <br /> Rock and modular block walls shall be measured per square foot of wall face, measured in the <br /> vertical plane from the bottom of wall to the top of wall. <br /> 8-24.5 Payment <br /> This section is supplemented with the following: <br /> 8-24.5(1) Modular Block Wall <br /> Payment will be made in accordance with Section 1-04.1 for the following bid item(s): Modular <br /> Block Wall XX, per square foot, where XX represents the wall number. <br /> The unit contract bid price(s), including all incidental work, shall be full compensation for all <br /> labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to satisfactorily complete the work as defined <br /> in the Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions. <br /> Excavation, footing, drain, geotextile, grout or concrete, reinforcing steel, shear connectors, <br /> leveling pad, and backfill shall be considered incidental to and included in the contract unit <br /> price of related wall, and no separate payment will be made. <br /> 8-24.5(2) Rock Wall <br /> Payment will be made in accordance with Section 1-04.1 for the following bid item(s): Rock <br /> Wall XX, per square foot, where XX represents the wall number. <br /> The unit contract bid price(s), including all incidental work, shall be full compensation for all <br /> labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to satisfactorily complete the work as defined <br /> in the Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions. <br /> Excavation, geotextile, rock for rock wall and backfill for rock wall shall be considered <br /> incidental to and included in the contract unit price of related wall, and no separate payment <br /> will be made. <br /> Swift Green Line—Corridor Stations Special Provisions SP142 <br /> May 2017 <br />
