B. Manufacturer Qualifications: Company specializing in manufacturing the products <br /> specified in this section with minimum three years documented experience with service <br /> facilities within 100 miles of Project. <br /> C. Products: Listed and classified by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. as suitable for the <br /> purpose specified and indicated. <br /> EXAMINATION <br /> A. Verify existing conditions prior to beginning work. <br /> B. Verify that final backfill and compaction has been completed before driving rod electrodes. <br /> INSTALLATION <br /> A. Provide system and equipment grounding in accordance with the applicable codes and <br /> ordinances and as indicated on the Plans. <br /> B. Ground service equipment, separately derived systems, conduits, devices and equipment <br /> in accordance with NEC, Article 250. <br /> C. Grounding Conductor: Provide green insulated equipment grounding conductor in <br /> conduits containing wiring systems above 50V. Insulation and conductor type shall be the <br /> same for circuit or feeder conductors. Size conductors in accordance with NEC Article <br /> 250. <br /> D. Inspection: Place no backfill around made electrode earth grounding systems until the <br /> installation is inspected and approved by the Owner's representative. <br /> E. Bonding: Conduit systems shall be effectively grounded and bonded together by <br /> approved bonding means in accordance with the NEC. Verify ground continuity between <br /> conduits, boxes, receptacles and equipment. <br /> F. Install ground electrodes at locations indicated. Install additional rod electrodes as <br /> required to achieve specified resistance to ground. <br /> G. Provide grounding electrode conductor and connect to reinforcing steel in foundation <br /> footing. Bond steel together. <br /> HANGERS AND SUPPORTS FOR ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS <br /> REFERENCE STANDARDS <br /> A. NECA 1 - Standard Practices for Good Workmanship in Electrical Contracting; National <br /> Electrical Contractors Association; 2006. <br /> B. NFPA 70- National Electrical Code; National Fire Protection Association; 2008. <br /> QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Conform to requirements of NFPA 70. <br /> INSTALLATION <br /> A. Install hangers and supports as required to adequately and securely support electrical <br /> system components, in a neat and workmanlike manner, as specified in NECA 1. <br /> 1. Do not fasten supports to pipes, ducts, mechanical equipment, or conduit. <br /> 2.
