Presented in this report are <br /> our findings,conclusion and recommendations for the proposed new residence. <br /> SITE CONDITIONS <br /> SURFACE CONDITIONS <br /> The subject site and the Reference Site are both situated near the western edge of a gentle to <br /> moderate,table-top-like plain, flanked to its west by a steep slope. Within both sites,the ground <br /> generally slopes down very gently westward towards the crest of a steep slope which descends at <br /> about 1.5H:1 V inclination for a vertical drop of about 30 to 35 feet to the right-of-way of BNSF <br /> Railroad below. <br /> The subject site is currently occupied in its middle by an existing house which will be <br /> demolished for the construction of the proposed new residence. Currently, the unpaved open <br /> area of the site is mostly covered with lawn grass, with scattered shrubs and brush covering the <br /> adjacent steep slope. There are no discernable signs of soil movement or erosion due to surface <br /> runoff or groundwater seepage on the steep slope. <br /> Geologic Setting and Soil Conditions <br /> Geologic Map of the Everett 7.5-Minute Quadrangle, Snohomish County,Washington, by James <br /> P. Minard, published by U. S. Geological Survey in 1985, was referenced for the geologic and <br /> soil conditions at the site. According to this publication, the surficial soil units at and in the <br /> vicinity of both the subject site and the Reference Site are mapped as Vashon Till(Q, )underlain <br /> by Advance Outwash(Qva). <br /> LIU & ASSOCIATES, INC. <br />
