11 <br /> 2 Section 9-26, Epoxy Resins <br /> I3 January 7, 2019 <br /> 4. 9-26.1(1) General <br /> 5 The following new sentence is inserted after the first sentence of the first paragraph: <br /> I6 <br /> 7 For pre-packaged cartridge kits, the epoxy bonding agent shall meet the requirements of <br /> 8 ASTM C881 when mixed according to manufacturer instructions, utilizing the <br /> I <br /> 9 manufacturer's mixing nozzle. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 9-26.1(2) Packaging and Marking <br /> I12 The first sentence of the first paragraph is revised to read: <br /> 13 <br /> 14 The components of the epoxy system furnished under these Specifications shall be <br /> 15 supplied in separate containers or pre-packaged cartridge kits that are non-reactive with <br /> 16 the materials contained. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 The second paragraph is revised to read: <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Separate containers shall be marked by permanent marking that identify the formulator, <br /> 21 "Component A" (contains the Epoxy Resin) and "Component B" (Contains the Curing <br /> 111 22 Agent), type, grade, class, lot or batch number, mixing instructions and the quantity <br /> ▪ 23 contained in pounds or gallons as defined by these Specifications. <br /> 24 <br /> I <br /> 25 The following new paragraph is inserted after the second paragraph: <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Pre-packaged cartridge kits shall be marked by permanent marking that identify the <br /> I <br /> 28 formulator, type, grade, class, lot or batch number, mixing instructions and the quantity <br /> 29 contained in ounces or milliliters as defined by these Specifications. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Section 9-28, Signing Materials and Fabrication <br /> 32 April 2, 2018 <br /> 33 9-28.10 Vacant <br /> 34 This section, including title, is revised to read: <br /> I35 <br /> 36 9-28.10 Digital Printing <br /> 37 Transparent and opaque durable inks used in digital printed sign messages shall be as <br /> I38 recommended by the manufacturer. When properly applied, digital printed colors shall have <br /> 39 a warranty life of the base retroreflective sign sheeting. Digital applied colors shall present <br /> 40 a smooth surface, free from foreign material, and all messages and borders shall be clear <br /> I41 and sharp. Digital printed signs shall conform to 70% of the retroreflective minimum values <br /> 42 established for its type and color. Digitally printed signs shall meet the daytime color and <br /> 43 luminance, and nighttime color requirements of ASTM D 4956. No variations in color or <br /> ▪ 44 overlapping of colors will be permitted. Digital printed permanent traffic signs shall have an <br /> 45 integrated engineered match component clear protective overlay recommended by the <br /> 46 sheeting manufacturer applied to the entire face of the sign.
