1 <br /> 1 degrees nadir. Gaskets shall be composed of material capable of withstanding the <br /> 2 temperatures involved and shall be securely held in place. <br /> I3 <br /> 4 6. The ballast shall be mounted on a separate exterior door, which shall be hinged to <br /> 5 the luminaire and secured in the closed position to the luminaire housing by <br /> I6 means of an automatic type of latch (a combination hex/slot stainless steel screw <br /> 7 fastener may supplement the automatic-type latch). <br /> 8 <br /> 9 7. Each luminaire shall be capable of accepting a 150, 200, 250, 310, or 400 watt <br /> 10 lamp complete and associated ballast. Lamps shall mount horizontally. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 9-29.10(1)B Light Emitting Diode (LED) Conventional Roadway Luminaires <br /> I13 LED Conventional Roadway Luminaires are divided into classes based on their equivalent <br /> 14 High Pressure Sodium (HPS) luminaires. Current classes are 200W, 250W, 310W, and <br /> 15 400W. LED luminaires are required to be pre-approved in order to verify their photometric <br /> I <br /> 16 output. To be considered for pre-approval, LED luminaires must meet the requirements of <br /> 17 this section. <br /> 18 <br /> I19 LED luminaires shall include a removable access door, with tool-less entry, for access to <br /> 20 electronic components and the terminal block. The access door shall be removable, but <br /> 21 include positive retention such that it can hang freely without disconnecting from the <br /> 22 luminaire housing. LED drivers may be mounted either to the interior of the luminaire <br /> I23 housing or to the removable door itself. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 LED drivers shall be removable for user replacement. All internal modular components <br /> 26 shall be connected by means of mechanical plug and socket type quick disconnects. Wire <br /> 27 nuts may not be used for any purpose. All external electrical connections to the luminaire <br /> 28 shall be made through the terminal block. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 LED luminaires shall include a 7-pin NEMA photocell receptacle. The LED driver(s) shall be <br /> 31 dimmable from ten volts to zero volts. LED output shall have a Correlated Color <br /> I <br /> 32 Temperature (CCT) of 4000K nominal (4000-4300K) and a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of <br /> 33 70 or greater. LED output shall be a minimum of 85% at 75,000 hours at 25 degrees <br /> 34 Celsius. <br /> I35 <br /> 36 LED luminaires shall be available for 120V, 240V, and 480V supply voltages. Voltages refer <br /> 37 to the supply voltages to the luminaires present in the field. LED power usage shall not <br /> I38 exceed the following maximum values for the applicable wattage class: <br /> 39 <br /> Class I Max. Wattage <br /> 200W 110W <br /> I250W 165W <br /> 310W 210W <br /> 400W 275W <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Only one brand of LED conventional roadway luminaire may be used on a Contract. They <br /> 42 do not necessarily have to be the same brand as any high-mast, underdeck, or wall-mount <br /> I43 luminaires when those types of luminaires are specified in the Contract.
