1 The list of pre-approved LED Conventional Roadway Luminaires is available at <br /> 2 http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/Design/Traffic/ledluminaires.htm. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 9-29.10(2) Decorative Luminaires • <br /> 5 This section, including title, is revised to read: <br /> 6 <br /> 7 9-29.10(2) Vacant <br /> 8 <br /> 9 9-29.12 Electrical Splice Materials <br /> 10 This section is supplemented with the following new subsections: <br /> 11 <br /> 12 9-29.12(3) Splice Enclosures <br /> 13 9-29.12(3)A Heat Shrink Splice Enclosure <br /> 14 Heat shrink splice enclosures shall be medium or heavy wall cross-linked polyolefin, <br /> 15 meeting the requirements of AMS-DTL-23053/15, with thermoplastic adhesive sealant. <br /> 16 Heat shrink splices used for "wye" connections require rubber electrical mastic tape. ' <br /> 17 <br /> 18 9-29.12(3)B Molded Splice Enclosure <br /> 19 Molded splice enclosures shall use epoxy resin in a clear rigid plastic mold. The <br /> 20 material used shall be compatible with the insulation material of the insulated <br /> 21 conductor or cable. The component materials of the resin insulation shall be packaged <br /> 22 ready for convenient mixing without removing from the package. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 9-29.12(4) Re-Enterable Splice Enclosure <br /> 25 Re-enterable splice enclosures shall use either dielectric grease or a flexible resin <br /> 26 contained in a two-piece plastic mold. The mold shall either snap together or use stainless <br /> 27 steel hose clamps. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 9-29.12(5) Vinyl Electrical Tape for Splices <br /> 30 Vinyl electrical tape in splicing applications shall meet the requirements of MIL-I-24391 C. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 9-29.12(1) Illumination Circuit Splices ' <br /> 33 This section is revised to read: <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Underground illumination circuit splices shall be solderless crimped connections capable of <br /> 36 securely joining the wires, both mechanically and electrically, as defined in Section 8- <br /> 37 20.3(8).
