I29 30 The last paragraph is deleted. 31 I32 6-09.3(7) Surface Preparation for Concrete Overlay 33 The first seven paragraphs are deleted and replaced with the following: 34 I35 Following the completion of any required further deck preparation the entire lane or strip 36 being overlaid shall be cleaned to be free from oil and grease, rust and other foreign 37 material that may still be present. These materials shall be removed by detergent-cleaning I38 or other method accepted by the Engineer followed by sandblasting. 39 40 After detergent cleaning and sandblasting is completed, the entire lane or strip being 41 overlaid shall be cleaned in final preparation for placing concrete. I42 43 Hand tool chipping, sandblasting and cleaning in areas adjacent to a lane or strip being 44 cleaned in final preparation for placing concrete shall be discontinued when final I45 preparation is begun.
