<br /> NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
<br /> Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the Everett Downtown Streetscape Improvements
<br /> project will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 151 Floor Wall Street Building, 2930
<br /> Wetmore, Everett, Washington 98201, until 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday,April 16, 2019.
<br /> At the appointed time, all Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud in an assigned conference
<br /> room on the 8th Floor of the Wall Street Building.
<br /> IThe Engineer's estimate for this project is $7,500,000 to $8,950,000.
<br /> The Work includes, but is not limited to: removing existing pipe, removing asphalt concrete
<br /> surfaces, removing cement concrete surfaces, removing sidewalk and curbs, removing existing
<br /> vegetation and trees, grading, construction of, storm sewer, water main, sidewalk, railing, raised
<br /> concrete planter walls, raised center median curbs, paving with hot mix asphalt, paving with
<br /> cement concrete, pavement marking, signing, illumination, traffic signals, traffic signal
<br /> interconnect, landscaping, irrigation, installation of bronze sidewalk castings, and traffic control,
<br /> and performing all Work as required by the Contract, in accordance with the Contract Plans and
<br /> Contract Provisions.
<br /> Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List)
<br /> is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and
<br /> clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "City of Everett". This online plan room
<br /> provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print,
<br /> order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-
<br /> 111
<br /> off tool. It is recommended that Bidders "Register" in order to receive automatic e-mail
<br /> notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the "Self-Registered Bidders List".
<br /> Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to
<br /> periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project. Contact Builders
<br /> Exchange of Washington at (425) 258-1303 should you require assistance with access or
<br /> registration.
<br /> 111 The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or
<br /> informalities. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid after the hour set for the opening thereof The
<br /> City further reserves the right to make the bid award as deemed in the best interest of the City.
<br /> The right is reserved by the City to postpone the award for a period of forty-five (45) days after
<br /> bid opening.
