City of Everett 00 7300 - 5 <br /> 2019 Biosolids Removal UT3705-2 <br /> ra. Contractor shall determine and implement the best operational procedure <br /> for the successful removal of the defined quantity of biosolids within the <br /> allotted amount of time. <br /> b. Contractor's plan for removal shall be submitted and approved prior to the <br /> start of the work <br /> M. BIOSOLIDS DEWATERING <br /> 1. Biosolids Dewatering Equipment <br /> a. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and appurtenances <br /> necessary to perform and support the dewatering and stockpiling of the <br /> biosolids. <br /> b. The City is not responsible for the performance efficiency of any item of the <br /> Contractor's equipment or equipment system used in this Contract. <br /> 2. Biosolids Dewatering Operations <br /> a. The Contractor shall understand that it is imperative that each load of <br /> material must contain at a minimum of 28% TS. Materials with a solids <br /> content of less than 28% TS will be too wet to transport and too wet to work <br /> with for land application. <br /> b. Contractor shall determine and implement the best operational procedures <br /> for the successful dewatering of the biosolids to the required minimum TS <br /> content of 28% TS. <br /> c. Upon completion of the work, the Contractor will be responsible for returning <br /> the Biosolids Pad staging areas and haul routes along the pad to their <br /> original condition at the start of the project. Any damage by the Contractors <br /> operations to the Biosolids Pad staging areas and haul routes along the pad <br /> will be the responsibility of the Contractor to repair to the satisfaction of the <br /> City's Project Manager. <br /> N. BIOSOLIDS WEIGHING AND TRANSPORTATION <br /> 1. Biosolids Transportation Equipment <br /> a. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and appurtenances <br /> necessary to perform and support the loading, transportation and relocation <br /> of the biosolids from the dewatering operations staging area to the applicable <br /> location on the City's Biosolids Pad <br /> b. Trucks shall be thoroughly cleaned after dumping the material with minimal <br /> ' solids left in the truck from the previous load. It shall be the Contractor's <br /> responsibility to clean up any biosolids, on a daily basis, that are deposited <br /> on the pad between the dewatering staging area and the storage area. <br /> ' 2. Truck Scale <br /> a. The City will provide a certified truck scale in close proximity to the <br /> dewatering staging area for the Contractor to use. The scale will be used to <br /> weigh loads as they are moved from the dewatering staging area to the <br /> storage area on the City's Biosolids Pad. The scale was last certified in April <br /> of 2019. <br /> b. All truckloads of biosolids transported from the dewatering staging area will <br /> be weighed and scale tickets will be provided to the Contractor upon request. <br /> I <br /> 00 7300 - 5 SPECIAL CONDITIONS <br />
