Resolution No. 6686 <br /> A Resolution Accepting The 60 Percent Petition <br /> For An Area East of 19th Avenue SE <br /> Between 106th Place SE and 108th Street SE <br /> The Holdeman Annexation <br /> WHEREAS, property owners in a area adjacent to Everett's city limits have requested to be annexed into <br /> the City of Everett,and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett has a desire to work with the property owners in a cooperative manner <br /> to become part of the City of Everett,and <br /> WHEREAS, the area proposed for annexation is within the City of Everett's Urban Growth Boundary <br /> area established by the City Council, and <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett has approved the gathering of signatures for the <br /> 60 percent petition for annexation meeting the requirements of RCW 35.13.125,and <br /> WHEREAS,the annexation proponent has gathered property owner signatures within the area and <br /> submitted the required 60 percent petition to the City, and <br /> WHEREAS,the petition was certified as containing signatures of property owners representing 67.3% of <br /> assessed valuation by the Snohomish County Auditor on October 23, 2013,and <br /> WHEREAS, after due consideration of surrounding uses and zones as well as the current <br /> Comprehensive Plan 4.3 (Community Business)designation for the specific annexation area,the <br /> implementing zone of B-2B (Office) is reaffirmed here as appropriate for the annexation area,and <br /> WHEREAS,the Everett City Council held a public hearing on December 18, 2013 to hear staff and <br /> public comments on the requested annexation petition. <br />
