RESOLUTION NO. 6688 <br /> A RESOLUTION establishing Prohibited Areas related to marketplaces of drug and <br /> prostitution trafficking. <br /> WHEREAS, on December 19, 2007 the Council enacted Ordinances related to <br /> Violations of Court Orders and Stay Out of Areas of Prostitution Orders; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Ordinances require that Stay Out of Drug Areas ("SODA") and Stay <br /> Out of Areas of Prostitution("SOAP") orders set forth Prohibited Areas that have been <br /> established by a resolution of the City Council, at a minimum of every two years; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Ordinances require that the establishment of the Prohibited Areas be <br /> supported by information from the Police Department in the form of one or more <br /> declarations and/or other sworn testimony; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council has reviewed declarations of Lieutenant Jim Duffy and <br /> Sergeant Michael McAvoy, and/or has heard other sworn testimony; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVERETT AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1) That the City Council adopts the attached recommendations for Prohibited Areas <br /> related to areas of drug and prostitution trafficking. <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 18th day of November, 2013. <br /> Cou , ''resident <br /> Councilman Introducing Resolution <br />
