ORDINANCE NO. / goe - 7/ <br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for the protection o4the public <br /> health and safetyexamination, regulation, licensing of <br /> persons engaged in the business of plumbing or laboring <br /> at the trade of plumbing requiring a permit for installation <br /> or alteration of plumbing, gas and drainage systems; creating <br /> the office of Plumbing Official and a Board of Plumbing <br /> Examiners, and prescribing their duties; defining certain <br /> terms; establishing minimum regulations for plumbing, <br /> gas and drainage systems and inspection thereof; providing <br /> for penalties for violation thereof; and providing for the <br /> adoption by reference of the Uniform Plumbing Code as <br /> issued for the year 1970 by the International Association of <br /> Plumbing and Mechanical Officials as the Plumbing Code <br /> and Ordinance for the City of Everett and repealing <br /> Ordinance No. 3838, Everett City Code 2. 16. 010 through <br /> 2. 16. 230. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That the 1970 edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code as prepared <br /> and edited by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, <br /> subject to the modifications, additions and changes hereinafter set forth, is <br /> hereby adopted as amended, supplemented and modified herein as the Plumbing <br /> Code and Ordinance of the City of Everett, Washington, there being three copies <br /> of said Plumbing Code on file with the City Clerk of the City of Everett and <br /> such Code by reference is hereby made a part of this ordinance as though <br /> fully set forth herein. <br /> Section 2: That the Uniform Plumbing Code as adopted is supplemented <br /> as follows <br /> (a) That Part One, Sec. 1. 1 is completed by filling in the blank <br /> therein as follows: "Inspector of Sewers and Plumbing" <br /> (b) That Part One, Sec. 1. 2 is completed by filling in the blank therein <br /> as follows: "person or persons appointed by or as Assistants of the Inspector <br /> of Sewers and Plumbing" <br /> (c) That Part One, Sec. 1. 3 is completed by filling in the blank therein <br /> as follows: "Inspection" <br /> (d) That Part One, Sec. 1. 7 is completed by filling in the blanks therein <br /> as follows: $500. 00" "City" "Six" <br /> (e) That Part Two, Sec. 2. 9 is completed by filling in the blanks <br /> therein as follows: "December 31" "December 31" <br /> (f) That Part Two, Sec. 2. 10 is completed by filling in the blanks <br /> therein as follows: "$7. 50" "$10. 00" <br /> Section 3: That Part 1, Sec. 1. 12, is hereby amended to read as follows. <br /> "Sec. 1. 12 - Cost of Permit <br /> Every applicant for a permit to install, add to, alter, relocate or replace <br /> a plumbing or drainage system or part thereof, shall state in writing on the <br /> application form provided for that purpose, the character of work proposed <br /> Page 1 <br />
