in any one accident, and providing that such insurance shall be cancellable <br /> only after ten days written notice to the City of Everett. Said insurance will <br /> specifically include the City of Everett as an insured party and will indemnify <br /> and save harmless the City of Everett from all suits, accidents and damages <br /> consequent therefrom for or by any reason of any suits, accidents and damages <br /> resulting from the licensee's operation of the traffic escort service in the <br /> above stated policy limits. Cancellation or voiding of applicant's insurance <br /> policy by whatsoever means shall automatically cancel applicant's license. <br /> Section 9: Promulgation of regulations by Chief of Police. <br /> The Chief of Police shall have the authority to enact and enforce <br /> reasonable rules and regulations for the operation of traffic escort services <br /> in the interest of public safety and to effectually effect the general purposes <br /> of this ordinance. <br /> Section 10: Approval of motor vehicles. <br /> All motor vehicles utilized for purposes of traffic escort service shall <br /> meet the standards of the Washington State Patrol, or other applicable regulatory <br /> agencies of the State of Washington. <br /> Section 11: Exceptions. <br /> Nothing contained herein shall be so deemed as to prevent any business, <br /> corporation or utility company from providing for its own internal traffic <br /> escort service or traffic control service without having first acquired a license <br /> from the City Clerk so long as the escort vehicles comply with Section 10 of this <br /> ordinance. <br /> Section 12: Violations - Penalty: <br /> Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be <br /> deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished <br /> by a fine not to exceed $250. 00 or by imprisonment in the City jail not more <br /> than thirty days, or both such fine and imprisonment. <br /> Ca- C.*1 <br /> MAYOR <br /> ATTEST: <br /> DEPUTY Ci y Clerk <br /> Passed: c=7- 7- 7/ <br /> Valid: - '2/ <br /> Published: ,=.zJ __ <br /> Page 3 <br />
