"The fees required to be paid for the removal of each building • <br /> in, upon, or along any of the places mention ed in 3. 24. 010 <br /> in the City of Everett, should be as follows: <br /> (a) The sum of twenty-five dollars per day or part <br /> thereof for each and every day each building is upon <br /> any of the above mentioned places; and <br /> (b) In addition to the above fee, and upon a finding <br /> by the Chief of Police of the City of Everett, or the head <br /> of the communication division of the City of Everett that the <br /> moving of such house, building, structure or wide load over <br /> the aforementioned places in the City of Everett, requires <br /> the moving of traffic signals and/or traffic signal cables or <br /> communication circuits in order to safely and efficiently <br /> move said building over the places aforesaid, the following <br /> fees shall be paid by the applicant: <br /> Six dollars per man hour; <br /> Four dollars per aerial truck hour; <br /> Three dollars per additional car or pickup hour. <br /> The moving of traffic signals or traffic signal control cables <br /> or cummunication circuits shall be performed by personnel of <br /> the City of Everett under the direction and supervision of the <br /> Chief of Police or the head of the communications division <br /> of said city. <br /> (c) The Chief of Police may require that the applicant provide <br /> an escort for conduct of such building structure or wide load <br /> along or upon the public right-of-way in accordance with the <br /> ordinances of the City of Everett. <br /> The applicant for a permit to move such building, structure <br /> or wide load shall pay to the City Treasurer the fees hereinabove <br /> provided and give to the Chief of Police evidence of such payment. <br /> Cash or a certified check in the amount of two hundred dollars <br /> shall be deposited with the City Treasurer when the moving <br /> permit is issued to cover the expense of the fees in paragraph <br /> (b) above, when such requirement is made a condition of the <br /> granting of the permit, and to further cover the cost of repair <br /> to city streets, curb, gutters or sidewalk damaged as a result <br /> of removing or moving or transporting such building, structure <br /> or wide load along the city avenues, streets, or public places. <br /> The cost of moving traffic signals and other communication devices <br /> as set forth herein based upon the rates hereinabove provided, <br /> together with the cost of escort, if provided by the city, shall <br /> be deducted from the cash deposit by the City Treasurer.
