Ted de Budden
From: Ted de Budden
Sent: Monday, February 26, 2018 9:50 AM
To: Donald Cunningham
Subject: RE: 2106 Oakes Ave
Good morning Don,
I have reviewed our permit records and the photo attachments you sent of the observations you made at 2106 Oakes
Ave.
Many of the images show construction activity that has been conducted without record of required permits.
A carport has been enclosed to create a garage without record of permits and approval.
Additionally, the photos reveal that electrical, plumbing, and mechanical installation work has been conducted without
record of required permits.
Some of the photos show installations that have been made in a non-code compliant manner.
I can confirm for you that because of this unpermitted construction activity both structures are Unlawful as defined by
code. IPMC sections 106.1 and 108.1.4
Thank you for the opportunity to provide assistance in this matter.
. I fully support and encourage your enforcement efforts to abate these conditions.
Regards
Ted M. de Budden
Chief Inspector
Everett Building Department
425.257 7271
From: Donald Cunningham
Sent: Friday, February 23, 20183:36 PM
To: Ted de Budden
Subject: FW: 2106 Oakes Ave
Ted-
I have not yet edited the photo notes—but the owner report the orange wire is not"flexible"extension cords, but
rather another gauge of electrical cable. I think that is likely.
Please confirm the existing conditions still support work without required permits rendering both structures unlawful.
Thanks!
Don
From: Donald Cunningham
Sent:Thursday, February 22, 2018 12:06 PM
