• <br /> Section 9. Enforcement. <br /> The Building Department of the City of Everett is hereby authorized <br /> and directed to enforce all of the provisions of this ordinance. Upon presentation <br /> of proper credentials, the Chief Inspector or his duly authorized representative <br /> may enter at reasonable times any building, structure, or premises in the <br /> City of Everett to perform any duty imposed upon him by this ordinance. <br /> Section 10. Interpretation. <br /> Where there is an ambiguity or dispute concerning the interpretation of <br /> this ordinance, the decision of the Chief Inspector shall prevail subject to <br /> appeal as provided in Section 7. <br /> Section 11. Penalties. <br /> Any person who violates this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor <br /> and upon conviction shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $100. Each <br /> day of violation shall be a separate offense. <br /> Section 12. Repeal. <br /> It is not the intention of this ordinance to repeal any other existing <br /> ordinance of the City of Everett pertaining to signs or billboards but to <br /> supplement the provision of said existing ordinances. However, where any <br /> conflict between this ordinance and any existing ordinance becomes apparent <br /> the provision of this ordinance shall prevail. Nothing, hcw ever, in this <br /> ordinance shall infringe on the rights of the City of Everett or the State of <br /> Washington to erect informational and/or regulatory signs for the general <br /> welfare of the public. <br /> Section 13.
