Please note that because the seals of a slider are not fully compressed when it is
closed, the performance of a slider is limited regardless of the type and thickness of
the glass.
Therefore, sliding windows are not recommended.
STC 35 Windows: STC 35 (OITC 28) windows are usually achieved with the following
glazing assembly:%" Glass - %"airspace -3/16" glass.
STC 32 Windows: STC 32 (OITC 28) windows are usually achieved with the following
glazing assembly: X" Glass - W'air space - 1/8" glass.
Notes:
• Windows are required to have a fixed sash or an efficiently weather-stripped,
operable sash. The sash shall be rigid and weather-stripped with material that is
compressed airtight when the window is closed, so as to conform to an infiltration
rate not to exceed 0.5 cubic foot per minute per foot of crack length in accordance
with ASTM E-283-65-T.
• Glass shall be sealed in an airtight manner with a non-hardening sealant or a soft
elastomeric gasket or gasket tape.
• The perimeter of window and door frames shall be sealed airtight to the exterior
wall construction with a sealant conforming to one of the following Federal
specifications: TT-S-00227, TT-S-00230 or TT-S-00153.
• Thru-wall ventilator with interior sound-reduction cover is approved on all the
facades.
Geological / Soil Suitability/ Slope / Erosion / Drainage /Storm Water Runoff
Mitigation
All recommendations provided on pages 3 through 16 of the 7/12/17 Geotechnical
Engineering Study will be followed during design and construction. Additionally, all
grading/fill mitigation included in the City of Everett's Mitigated Determination of Non-
Significance will be incorporated into the design. All design, construction, and bid
documents containing the mitigation requirements will be provided to the City of Everett
Housing and Community Development Program Manager for review and approval prior to
publishing for any contractor or subcontractor bids.
