If any of the above-named <br /> holidays shall fall on Sunday, then the following Monday shall be declared a <br /> 24 holiday for the purposes of this ordinance, except with regard to policemen and <br /> policewomen and firemen. <br /> 25 ' Any fireman who shall work on a 10-14 hour shift basis who shall <br /> 'I commence or end his regular shift of work on any legal holiday as designated <br /> 2611 by this ordinance shall be entitled to pay, in addition to his regular monthly <br /> pay, for each hour of work performed during the day, a sum equal to one <br /> 27 twenty-first of his monthly salary based on an eight hour work day, forty hour <br /> 28 work week. <br /> 11 <br /> Any policeman or policewoman, except the chief of the police <br /> 29 department, who shall commence his or her regular shift of work on a legal <br /> holiday as designated by this ordinance and shall complete his or her eight <br /> 30 hours of work, whether on said day or on the following day, shall be entitled, <br /> jin addition to his monthly pay, to a sum equal to one twenty-first of his or her <br /> 311 <br /> I monthly salary. <br /> 3211 Any policeman or policewoman, commencing his or her regular <br /> shift on a day other than a legal holiday as above described and finishing his <br /> or her shift on a holiday as above described, shall receive no additional com- <br /> pensation. <br /> - 2 - <br />
