NEW STORAGE INFO' ' _ TION <br /> The desired new storage consists of single and double row tacks. The aisle widths are <br /> shown as 8' or greater. Storage will consist of non-encapsulated, non-palletized wood <br /> products. Max. storage height will be 20'. NFPA 13 2016 table 10.6.3 lists bundled <br /> wood products as a class II commodity and unbundled wood products as a class 111 <br /> commodity. For the purpose of this analysis the product will be considered a class .III <br /> commodity due to the potential for unbundled product and a desire to represent a worst <br /> case scenario. <br /> CODE ANALYSIS <br /> NFPA 13 2016 edition is the governing code for this analysis.NFPA 13 16.2.1.3.2(0 <br /> curve E sets the criteria for non-encapsulated class 111 commodities without rack <br /> sprinklers,with 8'aisles and high temperature ceiling sprinklers.The required <br /> area/density for this storage configuration ranges from.37/2000 sq.ft to 33/3000 sq.E. <br /> The existing mer system area density of.345/2500 sq.ft.is point on the required <br /> curve. <br /> Conclusion <br /> The existing sprinkler system meets all the requirements of NFPA 13 2016 for the desired <br /> storage atrangetue nt.No modifications to the existing system are necessary to <br /> accommodate the new rack storage. <br /> Michael 1lalle ngren <br /> N10ET CET 111 <br /> Design Manager <br /> Emerald Fire <br />
