All dwelling units within the building not affected by the fire will be required to be inspected for <br /> smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms prior to final approval. IFC Section 1101.4.2. <br /> We acknowledge and accept this inspection requirement. <br /> 8. The location and sizing of exhaust fans in the bathroom and kitchen should be shown. IMC Section <br /> 403.3.1.1. <br /> The exhaust fans have been added to plan sheets S2.1 and S2.2. <br /> 9. The exterior walls appear to be 2x4 construction.The plans should show that R-15 insulation will be <br /> installed in the exterior wall cavities.WSEC Section R503.1.1. <br /> R-15 insulation has been added as a plan note on plan sheets S2.1 and S2.2. <br /> 10. Draft stops should be provided in the attic space installed above, and in line with walls separating <br /> dwelling units and between dwelling units and stairs. IBC Section 718.4.2. <br /> A note requiring draft stops has been added to plan sheet S2.2. <br /> 11. The roof assembly should be shown insulated up to a maximum amount of R-49.A minimum of 1" of <br /> attic space should be left and shown ventilated.
