The Fire Marshal, Building Official, and myself reviewed the conditions. Fire Alarms
are not required to be added to the space. Given the nature of the space, as it is intended to have limited access, the 90
min door was added between the new walk-in refrigerator and the existing building in lieu of adding fire sprinklers to
the building per the attached email. The added protection separating the two spaces can be extended to apply in lieu of
Fire Alarms as well in this instance.
Also, as you've noted in the previous email, the walk-in cooler does not have a machinery room. As a result, the
refrigerant detector is not required.
Thank you,
James Bronder, P.E.,S.E.
LIIIIAssociate Engineer—Plans Examiner I Permit Services
I
425.257.8810 I 3200 Cedar Street, 2nd Floor, Everett,WA 98201
EVERETT Hours: Monday—Friday 7:30am-12:OOpm and 1:OOpm-4:OOpm
everettwa.gov I Facebook I Twitter
Note:Emails and attachments sent to and from the City of Everett are public records and may be subject to disclosure pursuant to the Public
Records Act.
From: Matt Schreifels<matts@2812architecture.com>
Sent:Wednesday,July 17, 2019 12:12
To:James Bronder<JBronder@everettwa.gov>
Cc: Pete Gaffney<pete.gaffney@gaffneyconstructioninc.com>; Darla Van Winkle<Darla@stadiumflowers.com>;Adam
02/
