EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Project: Service Center—Building 1—Vactor Truck Garage Expansion <br /> Location: 3200 Cedar Street <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> The scope of work is for preliminary design, construction documents, permitting,Job Order Contracting <br /> coordination and construction period services associated with a new door opening and the addition of a <br /> wall to provide an interior vactor truck storage space within the Service Center—Building 1 located at <br /> 3200 Cedar Street in Everett, Washington. <br /> SCOPE OF BASIC SERVICES <br /> PRELIMINARY DESIGN: <br /> 2812 Architecture will prepare a preliminary floor plan that will convey the future work associated with <br /> the project. 2812 will meet with the City to discuss the plan and make necessary revisions as required. <br /> PERMIT and CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS: <br /> 2812 Architecture will prepare and coordinate the construction documents as required to obtain a <br /> building permit from the City of Everett—Building Department. Coordination with the structural and <br /> mechanical engineers is included in the scope of work. The scope of work also includes correspondence <br /> with the City of Everett—Building Department. <br /> JOB ORDER CONTRACTING and CONSTRUCTION PERIOD SERVICES: <br /> Job Order Contracting and construction period services by 2812 Architecture are intended to be kept to <br /> a minimum. 2812 Architecture will answer questions during the Job Order Contacting scope of work and <br /> pricing period. Once a final scope of work and price has been determined, 2812 Architecture will work <br /> with the City's Project Manager on an as needed or as requested basis through the construction process. <br /> STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING: <br /> The services of a Structural Engineer will be required for the design of the new door opening and <br /> construction of the new wall. Kosnik Engineering will perform these services. <br /> The Scope of Work shall include the following: <br /> 1. Review existing concrete tilt up panel. <br /> 2. Provide details for the enlarged door opening. <br /> 3. Provide input on the new stud wall and opening and new openings in the existing stud wall. <br /> 4. Respond to plan review comments related to structural work. <br /> MECHANICAL UNIT DESIGN: <br /> The services of a Mechanical Engineer will be required for addressing the ventilation requirements <br /> associated with the tenant improvements.
