• ORDINANCE NO. 4018 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3.24.020 OF THE EVERETT CITY CODE, REQUIRING LICENSE FEES FOR THE REMOVAL OF A BUILDING, OR STRUCTURE, OR THE MOVING OF A WIDE LOAN UPON OR ALONG ANY STREET , AVENUE , ALLEY OR OTHER PUBLIC GROUND IN THE CITY OF EVERETT, AND SETTING FORTH FEES FOR THE REMOVAL OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AND/OR TRAFFIC SIGNAL CONTROL CABLES OR COMMUNICA- TIONS CIRCUITS WHILE MOVING SUCH BUILDING, OR STRUCTURE, OR WIDE LOAD ALONG ANY OF SAID MENTIONED PLACES WHERE SUCH TRAFFIC DEVISES OR CIRCUITS OR CABLES ARE INTERRUPTED OR REQUIRE MOVING, AND FIXING FEES FOR USE OF CITY EMPLOYEES, POLICE OFFICERS AND CITY VEHICLES IN ESCORTING SUCH BUILDING, OR STRUCTURE , OR WIDE LOADS AND FIXING A DEPOSIT TO COVER THE COST OF SUCH FEES AND ANY DAMAGES DONE TO CITY PROPERTY WHILE IN TRANSIT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST. NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN : Section 1 : That Section 3.24.020, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows : 3.24. 020: The fees required to be paid for the removal of each building in, upon, or along any of the places mentioned in 3 .24.010 in the City of Everett, should be as follows , to-wit : (a) The sum of $25.00 per day or part thereof for each and every day each building is upon any of the above mentioned places ; and (b) In addition to the above fee, and upon a finding by the Chief of Police of the City of Everett or the head of the communication division of the City of Everett that the moving of such house, building, structure or wide load over the aforementioned places in the City of Everett re- quires the moving of traffic signals and/or traffic sig- nal cables or communication circuits in order to safely and efficiently move said building over the places afore- said, the following fees shall be paid by the applicant, to-wit : $6.00 per man hour; 4.00 per aerial truck hour ; 3.00 per additional car or pickup hour. The moving of traffic signals or traffic signal control cables or communication circuits shall be performed by personnel of the City of Everett under the direction and supervision of the Chief of Police or the head of the communications division of said City. (c) In the event the Chief of Police, to provide for the safe conduct of such building, structure or wide load along or upon any street, alley, avenue or other public place in the City of Everett, designates an escort, then and in such event such escorts will be performed by uniform police officers acting under the direction of the Chief of Police and the cost for such escorts will be based upon the following rates , to-wit :
